Memorial and Tribute Gifts
We accept gifts to the school in honor or in memory of a loved one. A remembrance card can be sent to the family, as requested. To make a gift, please use our online donation page, send a check to the school, or visit our office during regular business hours.
In honor of former faculty member Stephen Ross, we have established a memorial fund that supports the tuition assistance program at Camellia Waldorf School.
Stephen Ross Memorial Fund
Stephen Ross was a class teacher at Camellia Waldorf School from 1996 to 2009 and also served as Faculty Chair for several years. Mr. Ross became interested in anthroposophy while his son, Aaron, attended the Marin Waldorf School. In 1985 their family moved to Sacramento so that Aaron could attend Sacramento Waldorf High School. Mr. Ross then began the teacher training program at Rudolf Steiner College before joining Camellia Waldorf School. Even after retiring, Mr. Ross often appeared at our school events, which he beautifully documented through his photography. He was also warmly received as a substitute teacher and tutor. His presence is greatly missed.
In 2024, Haley Cavanaugh, one of Mr. Ross's graduates, returned to Camellia as the lead teacher of our new kindergarten class! Seeing Mr. Ross live on at Camellia through Ms. Haley and our tuition assistance program is heartwarming and inspiring.
