Wildflower is an outdoor-based program, and will be a three-day offering on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8:30am until 12:30pm.  Families will meet at the covered shelter space on campus each morning to drop their children off.  Nap care will be available.  Ms. Jennifer Mason will be the Lead Teacher with Ms. Susan Bagley as the Assistant Teacher.

The environment of an outdoor preschool program is created to facilitate opportunities to exercise small and large motor skills, plenty of time for creative cooperative play, storytelling, singing, and a strong rhythm.  The morning is consciously structured so the child may live in a harmonious breathing rhythm, coming to know that life has beauty, order, and deep wisdom.  The day begins with a morning circle of song and verse with movement where both the physical development of small and large muscle control and coordination as well as speech development with articulation are encouraged.  Following circle time on Tuesdays and Thursdays, the children will build stamina and develop their large motor skills with nature walks to the green space and Garcia Bend Park. On Wednesdays, the children will spend the morning in more practical work including chopping vegetables and preparing snack.  Eurythmy, seasonal crafts, artistic activities, and festivals will also be included. Wildflower snacks may include nuts & seeds, dried fruits, fresh fruits and vegetables, oatcakes, popcorn, rice, salad, and warm vegetables.  Birthday muffins and celebrations will be a special treat.  Four educational parent meetings will be held during the year.

All children enrolled in our forest preschool program must be three years of age by August 31, 2018 and must be fully potty trained.  Twelve children will be accepted to our forest preschool, and currently enrolled Camellia Waldorf families will have priority.
