Junior and Senior Choir Teacher

Miriam Greenberg

With joy and enthusiasm, Miriam Greenberg during the last 45 years has taken up the task of imparting the wonders of music study and development to children and adults alike. She obtained an undergraduate and graduate degree in piano performance, as well as a degree in special education. The work life extended to piano teaching and becoming a certified music therapist, leading to the investigation of the therapeutic value of music for folks with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. The last 30 years have been devoted to further exploration in various music pedagogies and their application at two schools, Brandeis Hillel in San Francisco and the Sacramento Waldorf school. She completed much of the certified Waldorf college coursework, then began her 20-year tenure at the Sacramento school as lower school music teacher. That expanse of time clarified fully the exceptional benefits of a Waldorf Education. Her two sons attended the Waldorf School for 14 years and it was a truly wonderful experience for us all! This foundation has served them well in so many meaningful ways.
