Camellia Waldorf School is located in the comfortably-situated Pocket Area, cradled in an embracing curve of the sparkling Sacramento River, conveniently placed with easy freeway and river access. Our teachers enjoy the freedom of taking the children on walks along the river or to a nearby park to provide their classes with Nature’s healing energy.

             We are looking for a full time teacher for our combined class of lovely fourth and fifth graders for the school year of 2018-2019. Please consider joining our faculty, a wonderful group of dedicated people with great warmth of heart and feeling for responsibility of soul, who daily bring their deep interest and many talents to nourish the young human beings in their care.

The CWS Class Teacher carries the responsibility for the developmental needs, the emotional and social health of the class. The teacher represents the school to the parents of the children in their class, providing communication and education regarding the curriculum, programs, and practices of the school. This position works with the administration and all colleagues to ensure that school educational standards are met. The Class Teacher holds an overall responsibility for the successful functioning and growth of the school through support, active participation, and timely completion of school wide duties.


  • Waldorf Teacher Certification or active engagement in coursework to complete Waldorf Teacher Certification
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent


  • Waldorf class teaching experience
  • Strong teaching skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a group/collaborative skills
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills


  • Pass fingerprint background check
  • Negative TB test
  • CPR/First Aid Training
  • Overall good health


  • California Teaching Credential
