Second Grade Teacher
Ms. Mulrooney was born and raised in Central California with family roots in Santa Cruz and Stockton. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in fine arts and then relocated to Santa Cruz to work as an artist. Her artistic endeavors led her into teaching workshops in silk painting, weaving, and knitting.
Ms. Mulrooney also enjoyed working with children and was looking for a field where she could bring her artistic skills while engaging children in an academic setting. In her search, Ms. Mulrooney was introduced to Waldorf education by a friend and quickly realized that this was the path she wanted to pursue in her life and career.
Ms. Mulrooney is a graduate of Rudolf Steiner College and has taught at Sacramento Waldorf School, Cedar Springs Waldorf School, and Sun Haven Waldorf School in British Columbia. She has worked with children from preschool age to young adulthood in varying capacities. Ms. Mulrooney has also worked with children with special needs in public schools. Most recently, she was a teacher at Rainbow Bridge Waldorf Preschool in Sacramento.
Ms. Mulrooney is inspired by exploring nature’s beauty. She especially loves to explore the Monterey Bay coast with her family. In her spare time, she enjoys delving into projects such as weaving, silk painting, and artistic endeavors with her children. Both of her children currently attend Camellia Waldorf School.
Ms. Mulrooney joined Camellia Waldorf School in 2015.
