Amber Fitts

Seventh & Eighth Grade Teacher

Ms. Fitts was born in Petaluma, California. She earned a B.A. in environmental studies from University of California, Santa Cruz, and teaching certificates in Waldorf Education and Eurythmy from Rudolf Steiner College. Before joining the Camellia faculty, Ms. Fitts worked in the nonprofit sector in the fields of environmental advocacy and accounting. She directed citizen outreach offices for the Fund for Public Interest Research and served as an accounting assistant for CCOF (California Certified Organic Farmers). With lifelong training in various forms of movement, she has taught pilates professionally to adults as a certified instructor and gymnastics to children ages 2½ to 14 years, following her childhood training as a rhythmic gymnast. Ms. Fitts joined Camellia in 2010 as the first grade teacher.
