The first time I came onto Camellia’s campus, I knew I was in a very special place. The quality of the teachers, the nurturing environment, the focus on developing both a child’s creative and intellectual capacities, as well as cultivating in them a sense of reverence for the natural world makes this the only place in Sacramento that I would send my children.
Camellia Waldorf School was founded in 1989 and is an independent school serving families with children from toddler age through 8th grade.
Our campus resides on three acres in Sacramento’s Pocket neighborhood. The unique beauty of our school truly shines once you pass through our gates. With our dedicated teachers and staff, smaller classes, and the wisdom of a Waldorf curriculum, children receive the gifts of an academic experience that is so much more than just learning. At Camellia, children have the opportunity to blossom into their truest and best selves.
Camellia is proud to serve families of all religious beliefs and diverse ethnic and economic backgrounds.
Camellia Waldorf School educates by honoring childhood, appreciating the individuality of each student, and instilling a sense of moral and ethical responsibility while building capacities for learning and encouraging clear and creative thinking.
