2013 Winter Faire Delights, Enchants

by on December 20, 2013

Hundreds came out for the 25th annual Winter Faire at Camellia Waldorf School on December 14. The school grounds were festive inside and out with live music performed by Camellia students, alumni and friends. The faire also featured puppet shows with delicate puppets and marionettes that were beautifully articulated by the early childhood teachers. Children enjoyed visiting the children’s store, where, chaperoned by 5th-grader angel guides, they shopped for gifts in an environment designed just for them. Children also enjoyed crafts including candle dipping, apple twirling, and making gingerbread houses. A gingerbread house exhibit and silent auction, vendor stalls featuring unique, hand-crafted gifts, and a cornucopia of home-baked treats, high quality foods, and gourmet soup competition rounded out a wonderful day of festivities and family fun. Each year, the Winter Faire is made possible by the generous donations of time and materials from the Camellia community as a gift of outreach to to community at large.
